Comments: All fields relating to American history and culture through 1876. Eligibility Requirements: Must have received the PhD within the last 3 years. Semifinalists will be asked to submit on very short notice, one copy of entire completed dissertation or the latest draft. Stipend of $35,000 for one year. One year award to conduct post-dissertation research relevant to the Society's library collections and programmatic scope: American history and culture through 1876.
