The Chateaubriand Fellowship is a grant offered by the Education Office of the Embassy of France in the United States.

Every year, it allows 15 doctorate students enrolled in American universities- to conduct research in France for 9 months. This program has two main goals :
  • 1. To allow American doctorate students to benefit from an experience in a French University.
  • 2. To develop Franco-American academic partnerships.
Chateaubriand recipients receive about 1300€/month, a round trip ticket to France, health insurance, and about 30 days per diem for travelling in France for research purposes.
